Super!. A small bit of ability and stays at it. He was a bit unlucky in the north when Billy Lee rode him. He said anything that could have gone wrong did go wrong and he still got up to be third (at Down Royal last September). He has won five races for us, we can't believe it. We will probably go jumping hurdles next, he jumps nicely.

It was very straightforward and there are no hard luck stories around a big track like this. If everything goes right he's not a bad horse on his day. The ground went for him in Galway and from the draw he got a bit crowded as well. He'll probably go to Perth now, there is a good hurdle there for him in nine days time.

The run on the flat sharpened him up and I thought coming here he would have a bit more class than the opposition,. I thought he would have more speed for them and has more ability than he lets on. He had good form and the nicer ground helped today. . He'll go to Fairyhouse next Monday for a novice handicap.

He probably wants that trip. I'd say the experience has definitely stood to him - dropping back from a handicap to a maiden. I don't usually like doing that but I thought it would be ideal around a big, galloping track with his experience. He just seemed to travel far easier over that trip, everything just happened a little bit slower for him. He's not very big. He gets a mile and six on the flat. I thought about coming back here next Friday for the two mile one handicap, the 50-80. He's owned by the Keelings who have been very good to me over the years and let me use their gallops when we had no gallops. I'm delighted to get it for them. I'd say we will mix and match with him. He has had a busy enough summer and has been unlucky once or twice.
