I think that equals the record here - nine wins I think is the record here. . It was a bit iffy running him back so quick but there's really no other race for him before the end of the season here and handicaps are very competitive for him now. Claiming races are the way forward for him and thank God for these series (of races) as it gives the likes of him a chance to win a race and gives owners a bit of fun. He got the trip well enough and I hope we have him after tonight! He settled well tonight, they went a nice even gallop and Killian (Leonard) said it rode a fair old pace. He's quite versatile and he seemed to stay well enough two runs back when we were a bit too far back that day. Killian said he didn't see the other horse (Pedisnap) until very late, he said it was only in the last 50 yards that he saw the horse on the inside. He thought he was clear once he got past Georgian Bay. I knew it was close getting to the line and I wasn't sure we were in front, you are always fearing the worst.

everything was in front of Killian and I thought he judged it to perfection; he felt a furlong out that Red Avenger was running all over him and that he had to go then, to have any chance. He switched up the inside and picked up really well for him, and battled when he had to then. He's been a great servant but a year ago we didn't think he would make it back. He was in Troytown (veterinary clinic) for a week and they said he might come back in six months time. He had 22 different things wrong with him but it was mainly his knee and Troytown were brilliant and they recommended plenty of rest. Within six weeks of being in hospital he was 100 percent sound. He's a very tough horse and has a great attitude to coping with pain. All through his life he was stiff but he's moving better now than he ever has before.

he can't compete in handicaps any more and we'll stay in claimers now. He's won seven races here and has been a great servant. Killian gave him a great ride.

Killian was on early in the week looking for the ride, and he's just one behind (Oisin Orr) now (in the apprentice championship). We said that we'd go the brave route and he likes to come between horses,. Killian was on the outside and he said he's not liking this at all so he went to the inside and found a bit of trouble and that woke him up. He showed a nice turn of foot. He's had his problems and we put him in at a very realistic price tonight (€9,000). We could lose him but he's eight in January and has given us a great bit of fun. He's been a great old servant. It was a very intelligent ride and he's a very good young fella.

I enjoyed that. It was lovely to watch,. After the last day Wayne said he could come back to seven no problem. He has loads of confidence in him. Getting the splits late encourages him and the easier surface also helps. It suits most horses better now bar maybe ones that want it really fast.

He was nearly stopping in front again. He gets the mile well but you just have to give him a chance. When he hits the front I don't know if he idles or gets outstayed. We thought the fast pace would suit him and he travelled really well. It was a lovely ride by Wayne and just got there at the right time. Toccata Blue was the one we were most afraid of. I didn't plan to come back here with him as I didn't think he'd get away with the surface but it's easier now. If it had been as quick as last year he wouldn't have come. It's a nice pot and I'm delighted it has worked out.

That was some ride, pure balls!. We were disappointed with him the last day at Bellewstown and, while the ground was lovely, it wasn't quite soft enough for him. He went to sleep and never travelled but I prayed fro rain last night and Shane gave him a hell of a ride. He needs a strong pace and you have to be brave on him . He deserved the win.

I'm delighted for Andrew. He's ridden a lot for us and has had a tough time with injuries lately. He's a very under-rated jockey with a good head on him. He's very capable at both jobs and has done a lot of work for us. The horse has done very well physically and grown up since last year. He probably won't come back here.

I thought he'd no chance turning in he was so far back but he got there at the right time. His form was solid enough his last four runs, and he didn't get the run of the race at Gowran the last day.
