"He is up in class and whether he is up to the standard or not remains to be seen. We are going into the race with our eyes closed after his last two runs as they didn't tell us too much and we have no idea if he is up to it. I was hoping we would be getting into Gowran off 10st4lbs but the weights going up is hardly ideal for him but he'll put up with it,"

The owner sent him to France but he didn't come back in a good way. He'd leg and back problems and it took a long time to get him back right. I'm delighted that he's won again. He'll probably go up for that and we might try him in a decent race next time off a lower weight.

He seems to like it here, there aren't enough races for him here though! . He has had lots of problems and it hasn't been all downhill sailing with him. He is not over raced and we will try and find another chase for him now.

We had to be patient with him. He was off for two years and he'd fractured a hind leg. He has that screwed now. I didn't tell the owner he was running until this morning!. If he stays sound he'll be alright. He had a good reputation.
