It’s no more than he deserves as he’s a pound lower than he was 13 starts ago,. He runs his races. I gave him to Nicola earlier in the year and said to her that she’d get the hang of him along the line and have your win out of him. He has ability but he needs a chance and he needed every bit of the 7lb to come off him to do that. She gets his head in front and he decides he’ll throw her at the road! You can’t win with him. He stays on the team and he does that job. As along as he keeps doing that he’s worth having. I think it’s all about Nicola, a ride like that, because he’s not easy.

it's a pity for Amy Jo (Hayes, jockey) as I used to work with her father and she was due to ride him but was claimed for one of her regular stables today, so we went back to Jack who has gone jumping. The horse loves getting in to trouble and he's due that win. We kept him on the team, he leads work at home and he'll pay his way. The other filly (Vivienda) is inexperienced, was a three-year-old racing against older hardened horses and it was her first time in a big handicap. There are plenty of days in her.

He definitely got confidence from his victory the last day. He is a very lightly-raced horse and is only growing into himself so, for obvious reasons, that was another race on his belt the last day that he has progressed from. The blinkers definitely helped. Colin gave him a super ride in the sense that he thought Billy (Lee on Free Solo) would bring him a bit further and then he switched over to Adam (Caffrey on Hightimeyouwon) and Adam's horse helped him. Mark (Breen) that owns him is in America and has been over to us a couple of times from America, he is a lovely man. He is not in the best of health at the minute and it will be a great tonic for him. He is a horse that will be sold, only at the right price. He is working his way up having fun and he is proving that he is a stalwart on this surface. He is there for anybody who wants a nice horse. He'll keep going until he is sold and will make a real good premier handicapper in the summer.
