That was great and I'm absolutely delighted. He is thirteen and we were just hopeful. He was in great form. The ground was probably a little on the soft side for him. He loves rattling off the ground. He battled great. He won this race in 2015, we'll hardly be back again next year but you'd never know. He is in at Killarney next Thursday, and we'll see how he comes out of this. He is just ground dependent and loves summer ground.

He didn't get into Killarney and he went to Stradbally instead. It's great and I'm delighted with him. He won two point-to-points and we said we'd try him on the track again. He is a real summer horse and he loves that good ground. That's his plan (to go out in front), that's the way he runs. Rachael settled him brilliantly, he switched off and jumped away. There is a race at Clonmel for him next week and he might run there, we will see how he is in the morning. I do a lot of pre-training and breaking and it's nice to have a winner on the track. I'm based in Grangecon in Wicklow. His owner Louis Hill is not far away in Punchestown.

He's a tough old boy. I'm delighted for Louis (Hill) as I've ridden for him alot in the past and now it's come full circle and it's great to be training winners for him. He was great in Tramore, and I'd say he was nearly better today. We'll see what the handicapper does now, and I doubt he'll be in 102 races now. He deserves a crack at a decent race now.

we're delighted with him and he did it really well. He ran a lovely race in Roscommon the last day, he just got a bit tired two out and that run brought him on. In fairness I've only had the horse a few weeks. Louis (owner) and Matt Murphy have done most of the work with him and Matt has been telling me what I should be doing with him and keeping him right; I can't take much of the credit now, it's all down to the boys. I rode for Louis years ago in point-to-point's and I'm delighted to get a winner for him. He's in at Killarney next week and we'll see how he comes out of this. I got the call last night to say that there was one (Midnight Molly) coming out so I rang Louis to make plans about getting down here.
