Robbie Power produced a beautifully-timed ride on Presenting Beara to complete a double at Clonmel in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Captain Christy Rated Novice Chase.
Power was happy to let the 7-2 chance bowl along in front, and had seen off all rivals bar Bose Ikard by the second last.
Sneaking an extra couple of lengths advantage approaching the last, Presenting Beara had enough in hand up the run-in to hold Bose Ikard half a length at bay.
Power's double started when Aidan O'Brien's Egyptian Warrior found plenty for pressure to land the www.clonmelraces.ie Novice Hurdle.
Long-time leader Supreme Doc appeared to be travelling better approaching the second-last flight, but once the 11-8 favourite got in front soon after, the result was never in doubt, as he ran on well to score by three lengths.
Philip Enright was also in double-winning form, secured when getting Massinis Adventure up close home in the Killenaule Handicap Chase.< Old Supporter looked to have a great chance when holding a clear lead over the last, but Enright coaxed the maximium effort out of Thomond O'Mara's 5-1 chance on the run-in, eventually prevailing by half a length.
Enright had earlier struck when a gutsy performance from Castle Bar Sling saw the 20-1 chance cause an upset in the Kilmore Maiden Hurdle.
Favourite Alileo jumped the last in front, but Castle Bar Sling, who had been fully off the bridle for some time, found plenty to score by a length and a quarter.< Stynes ran out a convincing winner of the Laganore Maiden Hurdle, with Mark Bolger happy to kick clear a long way from home on the John McConnell-trained 10-3 chance, eventually recording a seven-length success over favourite Collen Beag < Fennis Moll (7-2 joint favourite) took advantage of her light weight to land the Nire Valley Handicap Hurdle for trainer Shark Hanlon and jockey Danny Mullins.
