J P McManus struck for a 95/1 double at Roscommon when the earlier gains of the Charile Swan-trained Close One were added to by One Fine Morning (Mark Walsh) in the Class Grass Handicap Chase.
Plenty had chances late in the day in this two mile five furlong contest and Carlos Fandango (three out) and Moonlone Lane (last) were still there chasing when coming to grief in the straight.
The Ronnie O'Leary-trained One Fine Morning (11/1, this was a 7/1 the field race) went on from the back of the last to beat Ross Na Righ by two and three parts of a length.
O'Leary commented: "The ground is obviously not too bad because he likes good ground. He has won for me now the last few years and he has been a good servant. There might be a race for him now in Killarney."
D.J. Condon, rider of Pat Garrett trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount moved badly.
B. Hayes, rider of Old Supporter trained by Peter McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped.
