Johnny's Oasis (GB)

The biggest thing I think with this horse is that he just needs a fast pace. He needs the race to collapse. It was a bit of a muddling race (last week). He was drawn wide (tonight) and I didn't think he would win. I wasn't going to run him actually; he was so far out. I just told Colin to hunt away with him and that's all he did. If they go fast, he is laughing, and that is exactly what happened. It is great for Jimmy (Fairhurst, owner) and the boys. He was a dear breezer, he was an 80 grand breezer. He wasn't a cheap horse when we bought him and a little disappointing since we got him. He’s made up for a bit of lost time now. He'll be worth a few quid. I think he'll make into a nice hurdler during the summer next year. We will have to get a hurdle winner now very shortly!
