After race at Tipperary Sun, 23rd Jul, 2017 (1st)  I was a bit anxious early on as he got under the first two fences and he was very rusty,. It was his first handicap chase and they went hell for leather, for the grade, the whole way, and I was on my head and didn't travel for the first circuit. The last three were the only three he jumped and that should put him right. Just his class got him through. He's in a tricky place at Galway as there are only three handicap chases and maybe the one on the Sunday might be for him. Denis Gerard Hogan

After race at Listowel Thu, 15th Sep, 2016 (1st)  He's a good horse but it has taken him this long to come to hand. If you see the size of him, he's 17 hands, and it has taken him this time,. He is still improving but wasn't strong enough to handle the winter conditions last year. He went and won well at Galway on better ground and while I was worried about the ground today, he is a better and stronger horse now. He's belonging to my parents and I'd say they won't sell him but you wouldn't know. He was nearly sold but he was leaving the yard and I wasn't having it. It's great to have them here today. The future is chasing and he's as exciting as we have. Whatever he does over hurdles is a bonus but he's a novice hurdler for the year and maybe can go chasing later in the year. I've a good team of staff too and I'll have to give them a mention too. Denis Gerard Hogan

After race at Galway Sat, 30th Jul, 2016 (1st)  Anything he does over hurdles is a bonus, it's all about chasing with this horse. We took our time with him over the winter, the ground was very heavy when he ran in a few beginners (chases). I had Galway in the back of my head and I thought maybe we could find a handier maiden hurdle, my family own him and they'd have a day out. It's great for my parents. They provided me with a place to train, and I couldn't do any of it without them. They've backed me the whole way. I rode him in Tipperary over two miles four and he possibly needed the run a bit there, he didn't see it out. I just thought a strong two miles and send him out early, that was my plan since Tipp, go to Galway and send him on down the hill. Denis Gerard Hogan

After race at Tipperary Thu, 14th May, 2015 (1st)  I bought him at the Derby Sale in 2013 and then 'forgot' about him for a year. I was going through the motions before bringing him to his point-to-point at Dromahane where I thought I'd be happy if he placed, but he won. He has a very big engine and is owned by my parents Martin and Mary. I might have a job convincing them not to sell but he's a horse I'd obviously love to keep in the yard. It's good horses I want.
