He did it well and Jack said he got into a lovely rhythm. He ran very well at Christmas but made a mistake at the first or second down the back in Gowran and just never got into the race then. Jack gave him a beautiful ride today and I'm glad it worked out. He's a long time between drinks, the horse. He won two Grade Ones and it's great to see him putting his head down there and galloping to the line. We've Cheltenham and Aintree and he'll go to one or the other. He'll be in the Kim Muir, the Ultima and in the English National (25/1 from 50s for the latter with Paddy Power). Seainin Mahon, the girl who led him up, rides him everyday and looks after him like a baby. He's like glass and she does all the work with him so big credit has to go to her. Coko Beach ran a very good race. If we could ever get a really soft ground Grand National it would be made for him. Considering the weight he ran very well.

I've always thought the world of this horse. Last year I was of the opinion that he probably wanted three miles but I'd say I might have been wrong to be honest,. He wasn't right in Cheltenham, so look we'll put a line through last year. He was always bought to be a chaser and chasing is his game. He's a horse to look forward to. I'd say we'll keep him between two-and-a-half to two-six. That gives us loads of options. He jumped well in Tipperary, I know he made a mistake at the last. I'd say just going a gear faster and having to be more competitive suited him better. You'd have to be delighted with him. I'd say he'll go for the Drinmore now and I'd say he'll go straight there.

that’s job done. You get messy races like that but he never came out of second gear. He (Russell) said he was so brave the whole way, he was trying to get him to pop. He said going down to the last, I didn’t want to give him a kick going down to it as he could turn upside down, so he said ‘I had to sit and get in close’. He is a very good horse and the one thing he has to be, to be a champion is he has heart. He could have got beat there when he made the mistake but to be a champion you have to have the heart. He has won over 2m4f last year and I’d imagine we’ll find one more race and then the Drinmore, all being well. If he went down and winged the last, he’d have won six or seven lengths on the bridle but he could do no more than what he did.

to be honest I thought they didn’t go fast enough - I thought Blood Crazed Tiger would make them go a good gallop and our lad is just an out-and-out stayer.

He's done it well and we like him a lot. I thought he'd improved a bit from the last day, and Bryan said he was on the bridle more today. He will go now for the Grade 1 (Lawlors Hotel) Novice Hurdle at Naas (January 8th). He looks an Albert Bartlett type.

He's a big chaser in the making, and will be a nice horse next year jumping fences. He'll keep to hurdles this year,. He probably won't go back in trip, and will definitely stay further. I'd say he will stay any trip in time.

He’s a nice horse. He was a bit fresh and gassy early but we can plan where we want to go now. I’d say he’ll stay further but he’s not slow either. We’ll look for a novice hurdle for him in three of four weeks time and see how we go. I’d say he loves that ground.
