He's been busy but has been struggling a bit in handicaps,. The handicapper has a hold on him and he's still a few pounds higher than his last winning mark. The conditions of the race suited perfectly and he escaped a penalty. They should have more of these races. He liked the ground which is good and safe.

He won easy at Leopardstown on Thursday, he ate up and we weighed him before and after and he was perfect Friday morning. Every bit of rain we got helped him, he was slowly away and I was a bit worried but they went so fast early. I'm delighted he won. We will give him a chance now and we might step up into Stakes company next.

That was great his run on Saturday entitled him to have his chance here. He likes an ease in the ground. He jumped out well and Declan [McDonogh] got him relaxed. If he's ok in the morning we'll declare him for the Rockingham on Sunday and he'll love the bit of rain.

I thought he gave him a super ride. He had a desperate draw and I told him to miss the kick and see how he was travelling in the straight,. He said he travelled great and picked up well. He's an improving horse and is only a three-year-old. He won at Kempton last time and here tonight so you can't complain about him.

He was unlucky the last day as he jumped out with the hood on him and ran 50 yards with it,. He's a lovely horse but has just taken time. I took my time with all the two-year-olds last year and it's paying off now. I thought he would hate the ground and just planned to give him a run over five to sharpen him up for a six furlong race next week.
