Bay Knight followed up a win at Leopardstown just three days ago when taking the valuable bettor.com Rockingham Handicap for trainer Ken Condon.
Declan McDonogh, successful earlier in the afternoon on Dunboune Express, completed a double here as the 12/1 chance responded well under pressure to touch off Luisant by a head.
Winning trainer Condon said afterwards: “He won easy at Leopardstown on Thursday He ate up and we weighed him before and after and he was perfect Friday morning.”
“Every bit of rain we got helped him. He was slowly away and I was a bit worried but they went so fast early. I’m delighted he won. We will give him a chance now and we might step up into Stakes company next.”
