Sam, 16, is a great little kid who joined us this year and I worked with his father in Micky Hammond's 30 years ago. He has great and natural feedback, is a good kid and if he doesn't get any bigger or greedier like his father he has a chance!

We love him. With him and Brendan Brackan in the yard you are in safe hands,. Colin said he got tired at the end and he thought she (Gorane) was going to get back up and do him. He's one of those old age pensioners in the yard that does what it says on the tin. I'm delighted to have him. His wind doesn't seem to be as bad this year as it has started on other years. He should improve from that. This winter we've said we wouldn't mind having a go at seven at some stage. If his wind allows us that's what we'd like to do. It's just fun with him. Whatever presents itself, and while he's around and has a heartbeat, we'll partake and have fun with him.

We tucked him in today and put a tongue tie on to see if it helped. I suppose if you're not in you can't win,. He's a pleasure to train, and I'm delighted for his owner, John Quinn from Kilcock. He also bred him, and it's the only horse he has. I think he can run in all the big races on fast ground next year.

Colin gave him a brilliant ride and is riding really well. For obvious reasons with his wind, he (Keane) left him go through the gears and the horse is learning and getting more experience - that was his best performance,. He was initially entered for the Greenlands Stakes but that will be for next year. It's onwards and upwards and we've an awful lot to look forward to with him. We'll have a bit of fun with this lad but he needs that ground.

He's a lovely horse - a gentleman. We did another wind operation on him after his last run last year and without question he's a better horse for it. If it holds up we'll have great fun with him after that performance. He's in the Endless Drama league if everything worked. You'd have to say that was a good performance. I put him in the Greenland at the early closing stage but obviously he needs top of the ground. Colin said there is no reason to step him up in trip. I'd love to go seven with him but you're just asking for trouble.

He has serious ability but just can't breathe. I thought last year that he could be a Group horse. We'll keep him at that trip as he has the speed to do it. A horse of this ability and he's fair paralysed in the wind. We did a major operation with him in the off season. I thought the world of him at two but lucky enough he has the natural pace to come back in trip. Colin said you could drop him back to five. Obviously it will catch up with him at some stage [wind problem]. He's so straightforward and is an honest, good-looking horse. He's a brother to Angel Of Joy.
