Jockey Keane completes Cork treble Jockey Colin Keane completed a hat-trick at Cork today, completing a double for his retained trainer Ger Lyons, on his final winner Mittersill (5/2) in the Buy Online @ corkracecourse.ie Maiden. Keane, earlier successful on Michael O'Callaghan's Spy Ring and Lyons' Ardhoomey sent the son of Acclamation clear inside the final furlong for a two and a half lengths win over 4/6 favourite Aasheq. Afterwards Shane Lyons, representing his brother Ger Lyons, stated “again Colin is riding with tremendous confidence and is filling his horses with that confidence. He made a bad draw into a good draw and he is brilliant at doing that.” He added “he (Mittersill) wants good ground and is a lovely burly type who has taken time to fill into himself. “He has won well and beaten a couple of nice horses to win. We'll take him home and make a plan.” By Tom Weekes
