The horse that ended up favourite (Whats The Plot) was (almost) 10 lengths behind us with only a 1lb difference in the weights the last day they met. We had course form along with it. He's a grand little horse. The plan was to come here after Ballinrobe, which was a good while for a summer horse, so that worked out. Maybe we'll go for a mile and a half at Galway on the Wednesday on the flat.

He done it alright, they went hard in front and he kept at it well,. He jumps very well, he is a very straightforward little horse and it's grand that he won again. He might go on the Flat now, there is a four-year-old handicap here the week after Galway and he might run in that. It depends on what Noel O'Brien (handicapper) thinks. He shouldn't go up much for that. He is only rated 60 on the Flat and he will go on most ground, he is very uncomplicated. There are plenty of options at this time of year for the likes of him.

I've won this three years in a row and also won it a couple of years previous to that. He was in off a handy weight. He's a horse that would improve for a track like this; a small, nippy little horse. We were off nine stone seven so it wasn't hard to make all. It's a pity there's nothing for him next week. He'll probably come back here, he's a horse for here, Tramore or Sligo. He wouldn't be a horse for a galloping track.
