Permission was given for Major Snugfit (GB) to go early to post.
Rossa Ryan, the rider of Monsaraz (GB), placed fifth, had appeared to ride less vigorously for a number of strides inside the final half furlong, before being beaten a nose for fourth place by a fast-finishing Inn The Bull (GER).
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Ryan was suspended for 2 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished fourth.
Following the race, Andrew Mullen reported that Kells (IRE), placed eighth, ran too free and Cam Hardie reported that Inn The Bull (GER), placed fourth, was never travelling.
