The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the two furlong marker involving Arewecrystalclear, ridden by R.C

Colgan, unplaced and Vivaia, ridden by O.J. Orr, placed fifth, where it appeared that Arewecrystalclear checked when Vivaia manoeuvred out across her path to deliver a challenge. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned

In his evidence, R.C. Colgan stated that his run was petering out when Vivaia moved across his path and he had to check. O.J. Orr stated that his mount was running green, this being her first run, when she overreacted to his signal to move slightly outwards. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that O.J. Orr was in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly during this manoeuvre. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended O.J. Orr for one raceday.
