At the first fence, Gazette Bourgeoise (FR), placed fourth, jumped slightly right-handed, making contact in the air with Plenty Of Time (IRE), placed third, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Ottoline (GB), which was pulled up, was found to have an irregular heartbeat and had lost its left-hind shoe.
