Leaving the stalls, Legend Of Leros (IRE), placed fourth, jumped right-handed, shifting Good Too (FR), unplaced, which in turn crowded Plantadream (GB), placed sixth, and gave a further bump to Marshal Dan (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Legend Of Leros (IRE).
The winner, Top Secret (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Ascot on 9 September 2023, where the gelding finished ninth of fourteen runners, beaten by 7¾ lengths.
William Muir’s explanation that Top Secret (GB) had benefitted from a 102 day break since its last run, was noted.
Top Secret (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Benoit de la Sayette reported that Evocative Spark (IRE), unplaced, hung right- handed under pressure.
