An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Above It All (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Tom Marquand, and Build Me Up (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Oisin Murphy.
Murphy was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for easing his mount and shifting it left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Marquand on his inside to have to check Above It All (IRE) off heels.
The apparent improvement of the winner, Sassy Rascal (IRE), compared with its previous run at Newbury on 13 August 2021, where the filly finished tenth of 12, beaten by 10 lengths was considered.
The representative of George Boughey explained that Sassy Rascal (IRE) had benefitted from a drop from a Class 4 race to a Class 5, and a return to 5 furlongs.
His explanation was noted; Sassy Rascal (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Shane Kelly reported that Quel Kaima (GER), unplaced, hung badly left-handed in the straight.
