The winner, Storm Control (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Ascot on 18 December 2021, where the gelding was pulled up.
Kerry Lee explained that Storm Control (IRE) appreciated the drop in grade and the left-handed galloping track on this occasion; the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Cuban Pete (IRE), placed fifth, bled from the nose and that Tango Boy (IRE), placed second, lost its left fore shoe.
