The sponsorship in relation to Sherdil (IRE), trained by Paul Midgley, did not comply with the Sponsorship Code of Conduct.

Midgley was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that the correct sponsorship is carried.

The Starter reported that Hard Solution (GB) was the subject of a third criteria failure.

Shortly after leaving the stalls, Tommytwohoots (GB), unplaced, shifted left-handed hampering Indie Skies (GB), unplaced, which had already been slowly into stride, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Rounding the home bend, My Boy Jack (GB), placed third, edged slightly right-handed making contact with Hard Solution (GB), unplaced, resulting in both runners becoming unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of My Boy Jack (GB).

An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Sherdil (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Mr Simon Walker, Coast (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mr Frederick Tett, and Voltaic (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Miss Sarah Bowen.

Miss Amy Collier the rider of Tommytwohoots (GB), unplaced, was interviewed but found not to be involved.

The interference was found to be accidental in that Bowen had committed to take a legitimate gap up the inside of Coast (GB), however by the time she improved into the run that gap had reduced in size firstly due to Coast (GB) edging marginally left-handed leaving Bowen awkwardly placed close to heels and racing in restricted room, before Sherdil (IRE) then shifted slightly left-handed as it went by Coast (GB) briefly impeding that runner which ultimately forced Bowen to take a substantial check when running out of room on the rail.

An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Hard Solution (GB), unplaced, ridden by Miss Tilly Evans and Indie Skies (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mr Matthew Ennis.

Miss Evans was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.

Miss Evans was suspended for 2 days, on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for careless riding as she had allowed her mount to drift left-handed without correction when insufficiently clear of Indie Skies (GB), causing Mr Ennis to take a check for a number of strides.
