An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend leaving the home straight involving Captain Haddock (IRE), placed third, ridden by Mr Henry Main and Arty Campbell (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Miss Jessica Llewellyn.
Miss Sophie Smith, the rider of the winner, Roar (IRE), was also present in the enquiry but was found to have no involvement in the interference ridden by Miss Sophie SmithMr Main was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Arty Campbell (IRE) causing Miss Llewellyn to take a check for a number of strides.
Following the race, Mr Simon Walker reported that Vintage Rascal (FR), unplaced, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Cry Wolf (GB), placed eighth, lost its left-hind shoe and was also found to have a scrape to the back of its right-hind cannon where it may have been struck into.
