The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Pearly Prince (GB), compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 21 July 2021 where the gelding finished tenth of twelve runners, beaten by 7 ¾ lengths was considered.
Sean Curran reported that Pearly Prince (GB) had benefited from being ridden more patiently on this occasion.
His comments were noted.
The performance of Good Impression (GB) which started favourite and finished seventh was considered.
Dai Burchell’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the Good to Firm going and would appreciate a slower surface was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Good Impression (GB) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Tribuna Uffizi (IRE), placed third, lugged left-handed under pressure and Dane O'Neill reported that La Forza (GB), placed sixth, was denied a clear run in the home straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Kalamity Kitty (GB), placed fourth, lost its left-hind shoe.
