Rounding the bend turning into the home straight, the winner, Sacchoandvanzetti (IRE), became momentarily short of room, having travelled into an insufficient gap inside of the weakening Ballyvaughan Bay (IRE), placed fifth, which resulted in Sacchoandvanzetti (IRE) having to switch right-handed for clear running, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line involving the winner, CHESS PLAYER (IRE), ridden by Kielan Woods and NIBRAS GOLD (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jack Tudor.
Woods was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he was inattentive to Tudor’s presence on his outside, which resulted in Tudor having to check and switch sharply left-handed to avoid the dolled off water jump.
