An enquiry was held into the start of this race in which Saturn 'n Silk (GB) refused to race.
The Jockey, the Trainer and the Starters were interviewed and shown a recording of the start.
Tom Scudamore stated that he had kept Saturn 'n Silk (GB) away from the other runners because she can be a temperamental sort.
Michael Scudamore added that the mare had never previously shown signs of refusing to race.
The Starter explained that after observing that Saturn 'n Silk (GB) had been reluctant to join the other runners, she then started to move forwards and so he therefore let the runners go at which point the mare planted.
Having considered their evidence, the Stewards noted their explanation.
The Stewards were satisfied that Saturn 'n Silk (GB) was deemed a runner.
Following the race, Tom Midgley reported that Champagne Terri (IRE), placed eighth, was never travelling.
