The Raceday Stewards informed Sean Aherne, trainer that Forever Frankie, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final one hundred and fifty yards involving Buddy One, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, unplaced, Fermoyle, ridden by Mr Pat Taaffe, unplaced, Plains Indian, ridden by Mr A.P. Ryan, unplaced, and Sandymount Baby, ridden by Mr L.J. Carberry, placed sixth, where it appeared that Plains Indian ran short of room and was checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Mr A.P. Ryan stated that his mount received pressure from Sandymount Baby on his outside which pushed his mount onto Fermoyle on his inside. Mr Pat Taaffe stated that he was maintaining his racing line when receiving pressure from Plains Indian on his outside. Mr D. O'Connor stated that he was riding close to the running rail and received very little interference. Mr L.J. Carberry stated that his mount was claustrophobic and got slightly intimidated by Stuzzikini racing on her outside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action

Mr F. Maguire, rider of The Banger Doyle, trained by John Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the starting stalls and was very slowly away
