He made the running at Downpatrick so that was the plan again. He enjoys it out in front. I stretched them a bit and then let him get a breather and he’s done it well. I got it handy enough early on. He tends to go a bit left under pressure but he finds plenty. He’s been in good form all season. We might give him another run or put him away for a break. We’ll see how he is in a couple of days.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Peckham Springs, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. J. Walsh, that Mr O. McGill, rider of Building Bridges (GB), had weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had lost weight to ride in this race and rehydrated after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned Mr O. McGill on this occasion.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (123 = 11st 12lbs)
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
