A query was raised as to why Matt Sheppard was running Getawaytonewbay (IRE) here at Uttoxeter on going described as Good, having reported that the mare was unsuited by the going following its last run at Worcester on 6 May 2021 on ground with the same official description.
Sheppard explained that he had felt that the ground at Worcester on Getawaytonewbay (IRE)’s last run was on the slower side of Good, whereas the going here at Uttoxeter today was in his opinion, on the quicker side of Good and would therefore be better appreciated by the mare.
