The winner, My Silver Lining (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 16 March 2023 where the mare finished fifth of ten runners, beaten by 23 ½ lengths.
Emma Lavelle’s explanation that the mare was suited by a more galloping track on this occasion was noted.
My Silver Lining (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Harry Bannister reported that Gazette Bourgeoise (FR), placed fifth, made a bad mistake at the third last fence; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities.
