The winner Darbucks (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wolverhampton on 30 September, where the gelding finished seventh of eleven runners, beaten by 7 ½ lengths.
Christopher Kellett’s explanation that Darbucks (IRE) was suited by the return to Ayr, was noted.
