Rounding the bend leaving the back straight, a weakening Windsor Avenue (IRE), which was later pulled up, shifted right-handed after being briefly tightened for room to the inside of Cloth Cap (IRE), placed fifth, causing Le Patriote (FR), unplaced, to be checked and stumble before making heavy contact with the hind quarters of Indy Five (IRE), unplaced, which became unbalanced as result, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
At the sixth last fence, the winner, Dingo Dollar (IRE), was hampered by the faller, If The Cap Fits (IRE).
