Champagnesuperover (IRE) had to be reshod after spreading a plate on the way to post, causing a delay to the start of this race.
At the by-passed last fence, the winner, Kinondo Kwetu (GB), had to be steadied after becoming awkwardly placed close to the heels of Your Own Story (IRE), placed second, which had taken the tight inside line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Olly Murphy reported that Champagnesuperover (IRE), placed fourth, lost both its front shoes.
