L.A. McKenna, rider of Mount Brown, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled
P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Ricky Langford, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was impeded at the third last fence
The Raceday Stewards interviewed B.W. Harvey, rider of Willywampus, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that B.W. Harvey was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they suspended him for three racedays.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards (123 = 11st 12lbs)
