Permission was given for Admiral's Secret (GB) to go early and be ponied to the start, and for Spock (FR) to go early to post.
The sponsorship in relation to Capitoul (FR), trained by Dr Richard Newland, did not comply with the Sponsorship Code of Conduct.
Dr Newland was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that the correct sponsorship is carried.
The Starter reported that Admiral's Secret (GB), had been reluctant to race thereby forfeiting many lengths at the start, resulting in the rider pulling up before the first fence.
Victor Dartnall and the Starters were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
As the gelding had also refused to race at Newbury on 23 March 2019, Admiral's Secret (GB)'s behaviour was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Hatcher (IRE), placed fourth, had bled from the nose.
