The performance of Docte Dina (FR), which finished sixth of ten runners, was considered.
The representative of Nicky Henderson could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance, other than James Bowen reporting that Docte Dina (FR) had stopped quickly from approaching the second last fence, before making a bad mistake at the last fence; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the mare, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, William Marshall reported that Hurricane Dylan (IRE), which was pulled up, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding found that it had sustained a wound to its right-fore pastern.
