Tom Buckley, the rider of Grace A Vous Enki (FR), had fallen when entering the stables bend after the road crossing.
Buckley was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and the incident had been caused by Grace A Vous Enki (FR) losing its back end and slipping up on the bend.
On the run in, the winner, Top Of The Bill (IRE), drifted slightly left-handed before being quickly corrected, taking Paricolor (FR), placed second, slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Top Of The Bill (IRE).
Following the race, Tristan Durrell reported that BENNY’S OSCAR (IRE) was not suited by the ground which was officially described as good to soft which in their opinion was riding tacky.
