An enquiry was held to consider why Robbie Downey, who was declared to ride Diamonds Dream (GB), and was required to provide a urine sample, had failed to arrive on course.
The Sampling Officer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
The Stewards were unable to interview Robbie Downey as he was uncontactable by phone.
The Clerk of the Scales reported that he had contacted both Downey’s agent and Diamonds Dream (GB)’s trainer, Frank Bishop, and confirmed that Downey had advised both parties that he was unwell earlier in the day.
Having heard their evidence, the matter was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Permission was given for Raabeh (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and for La Chica Lobo (GB) to be mounted on the track and to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the home straight involving Blue Streak (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris and the winner, Love Love (GB), ridden by Oisin Murphy.
Murphy was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he maneuvered right-handed, causing Blue Streak (GB) to be checked in its run.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Marietty (GB), which started favourite and finished third, hung right throughout.
