The Stewards requested a report from Miss Denise Marie O'Shea, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Getaway Glenda, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Miss Denise Marie O'Shea stated that her charges first run for her was at Kilbeggan over two miles and three furlongs which she felt was too far, the next run was over two miles in a stronger contest where she felt her charge had run very well in mid division and ran to the line well. Furthermore she felt today was a weaker contest and that the track may have been a benefit as her charge was allowed to free wheel down the hill and came home well. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
