Permission was given for Bedford Flyer (IRE) to go early to post.
Leaving the stalls Militia (GB) placed sixth, jumped right-handed carrying Nomadic Empire (IRE) placed third, right off its intended line, at the same time as EY UP IT’S MAGGIE placed fourth, jumped left-handed taking the winner Ava Go Joe (IRE) off its intended line, resulting in Bedford Flyer (IRE) unlpaced, being short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Jack Duern reported that Dark Shot (GB) unplaced, reared as the stalls opened resulting in the gelding being slowly away.
Lewis Edmunds reported that Bedford Flyer unplaced, reared leaving the stalls and was slightly hampered; the Veterinary Officer reported a post-race examination of the colt, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Conor Beasley reported that Intrinsic Bond (GB) placed fifth, was denied a clear run inside the final 2 furlongs.
Jason Watson reported that Nomadic Empire (IRE) placed third, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
