On the run to the line, Embolden (IRE), placed third, when going for a legitimate gap, became tightened for room as One Hart (IRE), placed fourth, edged slightly right-handed at the same time as Atheeb (GB), placed second, lugged left-handed, causing Atheeb (GB) and Embolden (IRE) to make contact.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved any horse’s placing.
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Glorious Rio (IRE), which finished last of the nine runners, was slowly away.
The Veterinary Officer reported that One Hart (IRE), which started favourite and finished fourth, lost its right-hind shoe.
