J.A. Heffernan, rider of Scriptwriter trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount veered for the gate in the closing stages
The Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Explorers Way, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his mount needed to be pushed along in the straight, jinked left and therefore one of his strikes was for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Great Moon trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran off the bend leaving the back straight
R. Whearty, rider of The Rabbit Catcher trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from the strating stalls
