Permission was given for Sea The Casper (IRE), White Wolf (IRE), Astro King (IRE), Haunted Dream (IRE), Nobel (IRE), and Scampi (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Millebosc (FR) to go early to post.
Sonny Liston (IRE) and Millebosc (FR) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
The performance of Sea The Casper (IRE), which finished unplaced, was considered.
The explanation from the representative of Simon and Ed Crisford that the gelding was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Soft, and would prefer a quicker surface, was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing of the gelding, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the line involving the winner, Pride Of America (FR), ridden by Frederick Larson and Haunted Dream (IRE), placed third, ridden by Clifford Lee.
Larson was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had drifted left for a considerable distance under a right-hand drive, causing Lee to take a check off heels.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Sonny Liston (IRE), unplaced, ran too freely and Callum Hutchinson reported that Scampi (GB), placed sixth, was slowly away.
