An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend past the winning line going out onto the final circuit involving ALBERTO'S DREAM, placed seventh, ridden by Mr Tommie M. O'Brien, THE LAST BRIDGE, unplaced, ridden by Mark Grant and SANDS COVE (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Ben Poste. Mr O'Brien was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had failed to leave sufficient room on his inside, causing interference to THE LAST BRIDGE and SANDS COVE (IRE).
Following the race, Lucy Gardner reported that the stirrup leather broke on ONLY GORGEOUS (IRE) and she subsequently pulled the gelding up after jumping the second fence. The Stewards examined the leather post-race and were satisfied that it was in a serviceable condition. Jane Mathias reported that DEFINATELY VINNIE, which was pulled up before the tenth fence, did not face the first-time blinkers.
