The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Alessandro Algardi, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards requested a report from B. Duffy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Magic Chegaga, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Frank Duffy, Authorised Representative for the trainer reported that the ground had slowed throughout the day on its previous run and his charge had failed to act on it. He felt that today's more favourable ground conditions had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
