Permission was given for Roman Harry (IRE) to wear a red hood to post, for Tomorrow Day (GB) to go early to post and for Streak Lightning (IRE) and Sir Maxi (GB) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute.
Inside the final furlong, the winner, Tomorrow Day (GB), edged marginally left-handed taking Arantes Nascimento (GB), placed second, off its intended line causing the gelding to become unbalanced and to give a slight bump to Roman Harry (IRE), unplaced.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Tomorrow Day (GB).
Following the race, Andrew Mullen reported that Roman Harry (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; Oisin McSweeney reported that Arantes Nascimento (GB), placed second, was denied a clear run approximately 1 ½ furlongs out; Mark Winn reported that Paris Lights (IRE), placed fifth, was slowly away and Sean Kirrane reported that KING’S CROWN (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed.
