Cieren Fallon, the rider of Kingsholm (IRE), which finished fourth, beaten by a neck, appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Fallon's explanation that Kingsholm (IRE) had become briefly unbalanced and taken a false step was noted.
