The Stewards enquired into the late withdrawals of Fakir D'Oudairies trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien and Sizing Pottsie (Fr) trained by Mrs John Harrington where both trainers cited "Going" as the reason. Both Joseph Patrick O'Brien and Richie Galway, Authorised representative for Mrs John Harrington felt that the going was faster in places than the official going description possibly as a result of the drying wind and was unsuited to their charges
Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards accepted the reasons offered and did not impose any penalty on this occasion
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Battleoverdoyen, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
