The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Macgiloney, ridden by Mr J

Hogan, placed second and The Red Menace, ridden by Mr M.J. O'Hare, placed first, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Mr. J. Hogan in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Mr. J. Hogan for 1 raceday
