The winner, Greenside (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Goodwood on 30 July 2021 where the gelding finished fourteenth of eighteen, beaten by 14 lengths.
Henry Candy’s explanation that Greenside (GB) appeared to appreciate the Soft ground on this occasion, was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Young Fire (FR), placed second, hung left-handed under pressure.
